Schedule A

Implementation Timeframe:
• Year 1: Integrate DUI training into the monthly departmental training plan, monitor the program's
success, and explore alternative funding sources.
• Year 1: Begin transitioning financial support from grant dependency to city budget allocations and
community partnerships.
• Year 2: Fully integrate DUI enforcement into the department's standard operating budget while
leveraging additional state and federal funding as available.

Through these strategies, PPD aims to create a self-sustained DUI enforcement and education program that
continues to enhance public safety without exclusive reliance on external grant funding.

PPD recognizes the importance of reducing reliance on grant funding while maintaining the progress
achieved through this initiative. The department has developed a plan to ensure continued enforcement and
education efforts even if future funding is reduced or unavailable.

Administrative Support
PPD has the administrative capacity and experience to successfully implement and oversee the proposed
program. The department has a history of managing grant-funded initiatives and possesses the necessary
personnel and physical resources. A dedicated team, including a lieutenant, sergeant, crime intelligence
analyst, and a business services manager who oversees all financial aspects, will oversee program
execution, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and overall project effectiveness. PPD's strong
infrastructure and commitment to public safety make it well-equipped to manage this initiative.

PPD has successfully managed several grants over numerous past years with OTS and brings experience in
reporting and meeting grant objectives. PPD's personnel pride themselves on accountability and accessibility.
We understand the importance of communication between PPD and grant programs.

Recently, PPD has upgraded its CAD/RMS system to RIMS and its data analytics system with Crossroads
Analytics. We are moving toward the creation of a real-time crime center and understand the importance of
real-useable data. These new systems will aid in accurate reporting and data analysis used to drive effective
enforcement.
Attachment 1
