Mike Tassano January 31, 2025
Stoneridge Drive and Busch Road. In this alternative, El Charro Road’s southern terminus would
occur at Busch Road rather than Stanley Boulevard.
Table 12 presents the intersection analysis results for the partial extension Alternative 5 scenario,
compared to Alternative 4 conditions.
Table 12: Approved Alternative 5 Conditions Level of Service Summary
Intersection Peak Hour
Alternative 4 Alternative 5
No Extension Plus Extension Plus Partial Extension
Delay LOS Delay LOS Delay LOS
1 Santa Rita Road/Stoneridge Drive AM PM
61 E 63 E 59 E
43 D 31 C 35 C
2 Santa Rita Road/Valley Avenue AM PM
64 E 51 D 57 E
70 E 60 E 65 E
3
Bernal Avenue-Valley
Avenue/Stanley
Boulevard
AM
PM
52 D 44 D 53 D
34 C 40 D 38 D
4 El Charro Road/Stanley Boulevard AM PM
- - 29 C - -
- - 19 B - -
5 El Charro Road/Stoneridge Boulevard
AM PM
53 D 41 D 36 D
50 D 53 D 46 D
6 Busch Road/Valley
Avenue
AM
PM
39 D 22 C 48 D
21 C 49 D 36 D
7 Busch Road/El Charro Road AM PM
- - 9 A - -
- - 10 B - -
Notes: 1. All intersections are signalized. 2. LOS E and F are shown in bold. Source: Fehr & Peers, January 2025.
When compared to the No Extension scenario, the partial extension provides some relief at
intersections 1 (Santa Rita Road/Stoneridge Drive), 2 (Santa Rita Road/Valley Road), and 5 (El
Charro Road/Stoneridge Boulevard), although it does not improve operations to LOS D or better
at Santa Rita Road/Stoneridge Drive or Santa Rita Road/Valley Road. On average, the partial
extension yields approximately half of the delay reductions that the full extension produces.
