If the applicant cancels (or fails to show) for any reason for a scheduled interview with less <br />than 24-hour notice, an Administrative Fee of $500 will apply. <br />g. If the Pleasanton Police Department requests an “expedited” or “prioritized” background, an <br />Administrative Fee of $750 will apply. Background investigations are typically completed in <br />8 weeks. However, this is dependent on several factors outside of the investigator’s control. <br />These factors include the availability of the applicant and the references for interviews, the <br />ability of the applicant to supply the required documents, and investigative leads requiring <br />follow-up developed in real time. To date, DEXBGI has a consistent history of returning <br />completed investigations in less than 10 weeks from assignment. These timelines are <br />approximate and cannot be guaranteed. <br />h. DEXBGI has the option to apply an Administrative Fee for expenses exceeding industry <br />standards (examples may include, but are not limited to: excessive insurance demands, <br />excessive business license fees, and other unusual expenses that are not commensurate <br />with the current standards). This fee is intended to offset exorbitant expenses at the start <br />and/or renewal of the contract. It is also intended to offset expenses for special requests <br />(examples may include, but are not limited to: report formatting or invoice formatting). <br />i. An Administrative Fee of $1000 will be charged for administrative/executive level applicants <br />(for the rank of Lieutenant or above). This includes Professional Staff. <br />j. Payment for services rendered is expected to be received within 30 days of invoice. If <br />payment is not received before 30 days of invoice without notice, or in any event before 45 <br />days of invoice, DEXBGI has the option to impose a monthly recurring Administrative Fee of <br />$500 until the payment is received.
