decision to discontinue the PDA gift card program and, instead, join forces with the City. It has
proven to be a great decision, and we look forward to continuing joint efforts to add more
Downtown Pleasanton businesses as participants and encourage the entire City (and beyond!)
to Gift Pleasanton for every occasion.
The PDA is proud of our Social Media efforts and ability to amplify the marketing efforts of
Downtown businesses and provide marketing and promotions to support them throughout the
year. The PDA Social Media channels continue to be strong and effective and have grown
significantly over the past year. The Instagram account welcomes nearly half a million page
views each month and is continuing to grow rapidly with a growth rate of 152% each month.
With personal and community-focused content, the PDA’s social media continues to be a highly
visible and well- engaged space where the community comes to talk about all things Downtown
and to learn about the newest businesses, upcoming events and issues affecting the
Downtown.
The PDA website continues to receive attention as we work to make it easy to navigate and full
of relevant and current Downtown information. Our continued focus is to constantly improve
the user experience for website visitors, provide better exposure for businesses and to better
reflect the charm and beauty of Downtown. We are extremely pleased with the results and
happy to report that web traffic has increased significantly this year.
2025 has seen the continued growth of events in Downtown! Through the hard work of the
PDA’s new Events Manager and wonderful support from our businesses and Board of Directors,
we hosted March Brew Crawl, Summer Wine Stroll, Totally Mimosa, a full season of Concerts in
the Park, Weekends on Main and Forkful and look forward to hosting Halloween Brew Crawl,
Magical Holiday Evening, Small Business Saturday and Holiday Spirit Stroll later this year. These
events are wonderful ways to bring residents, guests & visitors to Downtown and introduce
them to all the District has to offer. These events also serve as key fundraisers for the PDA. We
are also planning to host four beloved children’s events, including Bunny Hop - successfully
welcoming 2000+ children - in April, Pirate Scavenger Hunt, Pumpkins on Main in October, and
Magical Holiday Evening in December.
These specific events alone have brought a combined number of over 96,000 visitors in the last
year with the top 10 cities being Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, Hayward, San Ramon, Oakland,
San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento and Castro Valley.
2026 BUDGET
In 2025, the PDA’s total budgeted assessment revenue and City matching funds were projected
to be $160,000. This includes the 100% match from the City of Pleasanton. The ability for the
PDA to accomplish its outlined goals in 2026 is reliant on the continued support of the City in some
capacity. The draft 2026 budget reflects an $80,000 contribution from the City, which equals
the approximate 2025 contribution, and an adjusted income of $140,000 from the
recommended BID structure update, if approved. The combined total of approximately
$220,000 for 2026 will allow the Pleasanton Downtown Association to carry out our mission
and the programming of events planned for 2026 to promote economic vitality throughout
Pleasanton as a whole.
