FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT <br />This·firs(Amendment to Agreement (''.14fst Amendment") is entered into this~ day of June <br />2011 by the City of Pleasanton ("City") and the Amador-Livermore Historical Society ("Lessee") <br />Whereas, on January 3 , 2006, the City and Lessee entered into a Lease Agreement whereby <br />City agreed to lease the property at 603 Main Street in Pleasanton to Lessee ("Agreement"); and <br />Whereas, the parties desire to extend the agreement for additional years and to include <br />additional language regarding the parties' use of the Property; and <br />Whereas, the parties desire to amend to the Agreement; <br />Now, therefore, in exchange for valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby <br />acknowledged, the parties agree as follows: <br />I . Section 2 of the Agreement, "Term" is amended to read: <br />"2. Term. This lease shall begin on January 3, 2006, and shall tenninate on January 3, <br />2016, except as otherwise provided in this Agreement." <br />2. Section 4 of the Agreement, "Purposes" is amended to read: <br />"4. Use of Property. Lessee shall use the Property exclusively for the purpose of <br />providing the services described in Recital A, and for no other purpose. <br />City reserves the right to use the Property for its own use, e.g., for meetings, special events, <br />etc. Prior to using the Property, City will provide notice to Lessee of its intended use and <br />the date and time of such use. City will use its best efforts to use the Property in a way that <br />will not interfere with Lessee's use of the Property. Further, City will use its best efforts to <br />give Lessee ample notice of its intended use but in no event will City give less than 24 hour <br />notice of its intended use. <br />C ity reserves the right to establish and install an electronic information center (a "virtual <br />City Hall'' station) on the Property. City will provide Lessee with at least 30 days notice <br />prior to installing the information center. <br />3.
