EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY Equity and sustainability are both a strong focus of the BART Concept Plan, particularly the furtherance of investments in areas proximate to major transit stations, promoting decreased reliance on automobiles, and providing access to affordable housing opportunities. OUTREACH An email notification was sent to both interested parties and stakeholders regarding this meeting and the prior Planning Commission meeting, and the public workshop. Staff has also offered stakeholders the opportunity to meet regarding specific comments, questions, or concerns. A notice regarding this meeting was published in the Valley Times in accordance with noticing requirements. Public comments received prior to the publication of this agenda report have been included as Attachment 4 to this report. STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT Completion of the BART Concept Plan is supportive of the ONE Pleasanton Strategic Plan goal of Building a Community where Everyone Belongs - Strategy 6 to implement the Housing Element, since the effort will support the Housing Element program around redevelopment of the east Dublin/Pleasanton BART station. FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
