Pleasanton BART October 9, 2025
Site Re-Use Options Memorandum

30

ii. Walnut Creek BART TOD

The first two phases of TOD at Walnut
Creek BART station were completed in
2022. This development has strong direct
diagonal walks to BART and a small open
space at the station entry. Once fully
complete, the transit village will comprise
about 600 market-rate homes and 27,000
sq. ft. of retail. Here the existing BART
garage was retained and supplemented
with an additional, privately operated
garage, while the surface parking area
has been redeveloped.

Prior to this development, the site had
2,089 BART rider parking spaces. The
current number is 1,244, not including the
private garage.

Figure 8-6: Aerial view of the Walnut Creek BART TOD.

Figure 8-5: Phase 2 mixed-use residential building and paseo
at Walnut Creek transit village.
