Dublin/Pleasanton BART Existing Conditions – Access and Circulation
June 6, 2025

Passenger Loading
Both sides of the station provide passenger loading areas. The passenger loading on the
Dublin side is along DeMarcus Boulevard/Iron Horse Parkway. As shown on Figure 8, the
designated passenger loading and taxi zone on the Pleasanton side is just north of the BART
Permit parking lot (Lot C). The passenger loading area is a one-way counterclockwise
roadway and at least 22 feet wide, accommodating passenger loading on the right side of
the roadway and providing one lane for circulation. Vehicles access the passenger loading
area either through the BART driveway on Owens Drive opposite Willow Road or through the
BART Station roadways and exit through the BART driveway on Owens Drive opposite Willow
Road.
The passenger loading area provides about 350 feet of curbside loading space with the first
150 feet designated for taxis and the remainder designated as passenger drop -off zone,
including 40 feet of accessible curb space nearest to the station entrance.
Owens Drive also provides a taxi-only zone south of the Dublin/Pleasanton Station parking
lots. City of Pleasanton staff noted that these spaces currently have minimal usage. These
spaces could accommodate some of the current passenger loading activities t hat occur within
the station.
Driving and Parking
About 52 percent of Dublin/Pleasanton BART riders drove from home and parked at the station
in 2015. This corresponds to about 38 percent of the total riders at the station in 2015. The
Dublin/ Pleasanton Station provides about 3,150 parking spaces on both sides of the station.
Figure 9 identifies the various parking facilities serving the station. On the Dublin side of the
station, drivers can use uncovered surface lots (Lots E, F and H), or a seven -story BART parking
garage with accessible, reserved, and daily parking spaces. The Pleasanton side of the station
provides four surface parking lots (Lots A through D) that are connected by internal roadways.
Table 7 shows the parking supply by location and type based on a BART inventory and parking
occupancy count conducted in Spring 2025. About 57 percent of the parking supply is on the
Dublin side and about 43 percent is on the Pleasanton side. About 2,237 spaces are designated as
daily fee parking (Lots A, B, E, and H and floors 2 through 7 of the BART parking garage), with a
rate of $3 per day. About 782 spaces are designated as reserved parking (Lots C, D, F, and H and
floors 1 through 3 of the parking garage), with a rate of $105 per month or $6 per day for single
or multi- day reservations. About 63 spaces are accessible parking spaces (Lots A and F and on
the first floor of the parking garage).

DRA
F
T
