Callippe Preserve Golf Course Tee Renovation Background: The Callippe Preserve Golf Course is one of the top municipal golf courses in the region. The course in southern Pleasanton, owned by the city and managed by CourseCo, opened to golfers Nov. 11, 2005. Designed by Brian Costello, Callippe Preserve has earned various awards and accolades over the past 20 years, including: •Sixth-ranked public access golf course by Golf Week Magazine (March 2006). •No. 9 “Best New Public Course Under $75” by Golf Digest (January 2007). •Three-time winner of the GreensKeeper.org “Best Value Award” in the East Bay. •Golf Week Magazine’s 47th “Best Municipal Course” (May 2010). •Six Environmental in Golf Awards (ELGAs). Scope of Work Furnish all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the following work: Perform tree modifications and reconditioning as outlined below: Tee Reconditioning: •Strip sod from tee surfaces and one to two strips from surrounds as needed. Dispose of off- site. •Recondition the top 2" layer and laser level tee surfaces. Tie in surrounds. •Supply and install ryegrass sod. Tee Expansion: •Strip sod from tee surfaces and one to two strips from surrounds as needed. Dispose of off- site. •Perform earthwork as needed, lowering the existing tee elevation and pushing material to achieve the new tee size and shape. •Shape and compact the new tee. Perform laser leveling on the tee top. •Add 4" of new sand to the tee top. Tie in surrounds. •Supply and install ryegrass sod. All work to include removal and disposal of sod and spoils. Tee locations are as noted below: Hole # Tee Color Project Description 5 White Recondition existing tee and surrounds up to 2,076 SF. 9 White Lower and expand the existing tee to a final disturbed area of 2,250 SF. 10 Black Recondition existing tee up to 1,020 SF.
