REGIONAL GROUNDWATER FACILITIES PROJECT
FEASIBILITY STUDY
9 Zone 7 Water Agency
December, 2025
are summarized below in Table 2. A more detailed spreadsheet with monthly assigned pumping rates for
each scenario and well is provided in Appendix E.
Table 2. In addition, flow profiling data
collected during aquifer testing at each test well site were reviewed. The combination of well screen
assigned to each model layer and proportion of flow derived from each screen zone during field testing
were used to assign the amount of flow coming from each model aquifer layer for each well. This
information is summarized in Appendix F and was provided to the groundwater modelers to assist with
assignment of the vertical distribution of pumping.
The model scenario results are briefly summarized below in Table 3. The groundwater model results were
evaluated for overall conclusions regarding three main areas:
Potential migration of PFOS footprint;
Potential impacts to basin sustainability in terms of Alt GSP Sustainability Management Criteria
(SMC);
Potential well interference impacts to third party wells.
As indicated in Table 3, groundwater model results indicate that none of the scenarios were found to be
problematic in terms of the three different areas outlined above. Overall, these model results indicate
that all scenarios are acceptable in terms of hydrogeologic considerations and warrant further
consideration in terms of cost and other engineering factors. A detailed summary of groundwater model
scenario results are provided in Appendix G.
