PROJECT ALTERNATIVES OVERVIEW
As documented in a Zone 7 memorandum to the Steering Committee, three City parks (Tennis Park,
Hansen Park, and Del Prado Park) to the west of the known existing PFAS footprint were identified by
Zone 7 and the City for the Study as proposed locations for the new production wells (Zone 7, 2024).
Figure 3. Water Supply Alternatives Identification Process

3.1. Initial Screening of Project Alternatives
LSCE, working with Zone 7, the City, and Carollo Engineers, conducted a series of workshops, meetings,
and project communications to screen potential project alternatives against the study’s goals and
objectives. Primary screening considerations included:
 Minimum production capacity target of 7,000 AFY (Zone 7 drought-year goal), which includes
3,500 AFY for the City’s GPQ.
