 <br />SequoiaEcologicalConsulƟng,Inc. <br />AugusƟnBernalCommunityParkFuelReducƟonProject <br />InformaƟonforRequestforBids <br />March2026 <br />4 <br /> <br />HerbicideApplicaƟon <br />Herbicideswillbeusedstrategicallytosupplementothertreatmentmethodstopreventthespreadand <br />resprouƟngofinvasivespecieswithinthetreatmentareasandalongroads.EīecƟveherbicidesidenƟĮed <br />bytheCaliforniaInvasivePlantCouncilandU.S.DepartmentofAgriculturethatareconsistentwiththose <br />describedintheCalVTPPEIRwillbeapplied.OnͲtheͲgroundapplicaƟonmethodswillincludepainƟngcut <br />stemsorstumpsandusingbackpacksprayersorhandapplicatorstotargetspeciĮcinvasiveplants;no <br />aerialspraying,broadcastspraying,orsprayingfromtruckswilloccur.Noherbicidetreatmentwilloccur <br />within50feetofaquaƟchabitat.Herbicidesshouldnotbeappliedwithoutpriordiscussionwithand <br />approvalbytheCityofPleasanton. <br />HerbicideapplicaƟonwillcomplywiththeU.S.EnvironmentalProtecƟonAgencylabeldirecƟonsandboth <br />CaliforniaEnvironmentalProtecƟonAgencyandCaliforniaDepartmentofPesƟcideRegulaƟonlabel <br />standards.AllherbicideapplicaƟonwillbeperformedorsupervisedbycerƟĮedandlicensedpesƟcide <br />applicatorsinaccordancewithalllocal,state,andfederalregulaƟons.HerbicideapplicaƟonwillnottake  <br />placewithin24hoursofarainevent. <br />OperaƟonalSpeciĮcaƟons <br />ThefollowingspeciĮcaƟonswillactastherequirementsfortheContractortooperatesafelyandeĸciently <br />whileprotecƟngandconservingsensiƟveresources.ThesespeciĮcaƟonswerewriƩentoincorporateSPRs <br />requiredbytheCalVTPPSA/Addendum,whichsaƟsĮesCaliforniaEnvironmentalQualityActcompliance <br />forthisproject. <br />GeneralOperaƟonalSpeciĮcaƟons <br />1. ApreͲdesignatedContractorforeman willberequiredtobeonͲsiteatallƟmeswhilethecrewis <br />working.TheforemanmustbeabletoaddressconcernsfromtheCityofPleasanton,partner <br />agencies,superviseddesignees,adjacentlandowners,and/orthepublic.Contractorshallprovide <br />thefullname,phonenumber,andemailaddressofthispersonpriortoworkstarƟng. <br />2. OperaƟonsmayoccurduringdaylighthoursfrom8:00a.m.to5:00p.m.,MondaythroughFriday. <br />NooperaƟonswilloccuronholidays.ConsideraƟonwillbegiventoweekendoperaƟonsbased <br />uponprojectprogression.ConsideraƟonwillalsobegiventobeginningoperaƟonsat6:00a.m. <br />shoulddaylightandweathercondiƟonswarrant. <br />3.
