TheContractorisresponsiblecoordinaƟngwiththeCityofPleasantontoclosetrailsasneededto <br />completetreatments.Trail closureswillincludesetupofappropriatesignage(suppliedbytheCity) <br />andmarkingofdetourswhenappropriate. <br />5. TheContractorshallberesponsibleforreturningthetrailsandstagingareastoan“asgoodor <br />beƩer”condiƟonfollowingoperaƟons. <br />6. Contractorshallberesponsibleformaintainingaspillkitcontainingthefollowingitems: <br />a. ProtecƟveclothingorpersonalprotecƟveequipmenttoprotectbodypartsmostlikelyto <br />beexposedtospilledhazardoussubstances;and <br />b. Toolstocleanupaspill,includinghighlyabsorbenttowels,pads,andatleastsix(6)3Ͳinch <br />by10ͲfootͲlongspillͲabsorbentsocks. <br />7. PriortobeginningoperaƟons,theCityofPleasantonanditssuperviseddesigneewillconducta <br />preͲoperaƟonalmeeƟngtodiscussprojectimplementaƟon,specialprotecƟonmeasures,andany <br />potenƟaloperaƟonalconstraintsregardingtheconductofthiscontractthatmayimpactproject <br />compleƟon,includingbutnotlimitedtoplannedstartdate,specialprotecƟonmeasures, <br />operaƟonalconstraints,operaƟngschedule,andorderofprojectcompleƟon. <br />8. TheContractorshallprepareandkeeprecordofadailychecklistmadeavailableattherequestof <br />City,oritssuperviseddesignee,thatchecksthefollowingfordailyoperaƟons: <br />a. NamesofContractor’sdailyonͲsiteoperaƟonalpersonnelandequipment.Equipment <br />withHobbshourmeterswilllogdailymeterreadings. <br />b. InspecƟonsaroundtheequipmentandstagingareaforanywildlifethatmayhavedecided <br />tooccupythearea,parƟcularlyAlamedawhipsnake.IfanyAlamedawhipsnakesare <br />found,operaƟonsatthelocaƟonmuststop,andCity,oritssuperviseddesignee,mustbe <br />noƟĮedimmediately.Contractorwillnotharm,harass,orinjureAlamedawhipsnakes. <br />c. InspecƟonsforanyequipmentleaks. <br />d. EnsureallwatertanksforĮresuppressionarefull. <br />e. ConĮrmthatnesƟngbird,batroost,andothernecessarysurveysarecompletedforthe <br />treatmentareasproposedforoperaƟonsthatdayifoperaƟngfromFebruary1toAugust <br />31. <br />f. RecordwindspeedandrelaƟvehumiditymeasurementsatthebeginningofoperaƟons, <br />12:00p.m.,andtheconclusionofoperaƟonseachday. <br />9. ContractorwillprovideaPestControlRecommendaƟonandalllabelinformaƟon,safetydata <br />sheets,andaproposedSpillResponsePlanpriortoanyherbicideoperaƟonsonͲsite(s).TheCity <br />ofPleasantonanditssuperviseddesigneewillreviewtheSpillResponsePlanpriorto <br />implementaƟon. <br />10. MechanizedequipmentoperaƟonsshallnotoccurif,from6:00a.m.to6:00p.m.thedaypriorto <br />proposedoperaƟons,thereisaNaƟonalWeatherService(NWS)forecast averageofrain30 <br />percentorgreaterforthedayofproposedoperaƟons. <br />11. Typical workareasarebrushandforest,oŌenawayfromroadsandonsteepterrain,andwith <br />targetspeciesdensiƟesrangingfrom1percentto100percentabsolutecover.Poisonoak,sƟnging <br />neƩle,andsƟngingandbiƟnginsectsareabundant.Accessisviaunpavedroadsandtrails. <br />ContractorshallalsoaccessremotelocaƟonswithoutpavedroads.Sometreatmentsitesshall <br />requirewalkingtosite. <br />a.
