Suitable Habitat Is Present but Adverse Effects Can Be Clearly Avoided. If,
based on the data review and reconnaissance-level survey, the qualified RPF
or biologist determines that suitable habitat for sensitive biological resources
is present but adverse effects on the suitable habitat can clearly be avoided
through one of the following methods, the avoidance mechanism would be
implemented prior to initiating treatment and would remain in effect
throughout the treatment:
a. By physically avoiding the suitable habitat, or
b. By conducting treatment outside of the season when a sensitive
resource could be present within the suitable habitat or outside the
season of sensitivity (e.g., outside of special-status bird nesting season,
during dormant season of sensitive annual or geophytic plant species, or
outside of maternity and rearing season at wildlife nursery sites).
Physical avoidance would include flagging, fencing, stakes, or clear existing
landscape demarcations (e.g., edge of a roadway) to delineate the boundary of
the avoidance area around the suitable habitat. For physical avoidance, a buffer
may be implemented as determined necessary by the qualified RPF or biologist.
Initial
Treatment: Y
Treatment
Maintenance:
Y
Prior to and
during
treatment and
treatment
maintenance
The City of
Pleasanton
The City of
Pleasanton
