ATTACHMENT 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY GRANT FOR <br />ADULT LITERACY SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />ACCEPT THE FUNDING AND EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS FOR FISCAL <br />YEAR 2026/27 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the California State Library supports libraries with state funded and federally <br />funded grants, statewide subscriptions to electronic resources, and statewide initiatives with partners <br />offering further resources; and <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Public Library's Adult Literacy Services Grant application <br />was selected for grant funding, which will be used to enhance services to the Pleasanton <br />community. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Authorizes the City Manager to accept the California State Library grant <br />funds for California Library Literacy Services in the amount of $42,856, and execute all <br />necessary documents required by the grant program. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
