Well-maintained lighting infrastructure enhances safety
for residents and visitors across all neighborhoods. Proactive testing and pole replacement
reduce the likelihood of unexpected outages and improve community safety.

To the extent LED lighting replacements occur under this agreement, the work supports the
City’s Climate Action Plan (CAP 2.0), specifically “Materials & Consumption Strategy MC-2:
Enhance sustainable production and reduce consumption.”

OUTREACH
The Request for Bids was publicly advertised with City purchasing requirements. A mandatory
pre-bid conference was held to provide project information and ensure all bidders had equal
access to the same information.

STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT
Approval of this action advances the citywide ONE Pleasanton Strategic Plan goal of Investing
in Our Environment: Strategy 7 — continue to invest in parks, bicycle, and pedestrian
infrastructure, and public art to improve traffic safety, promote climate resilience, and increase
equitable access to cultural and recreational opportunities.

FISCAL IMPACT
The total not-to-exceed amount for the agreement for the remainder of FY 2025/26 and the
subsequent three-year fiscal term from FY 2026/27 through FY 2028/29 is $2,175,000,
including approximately $75,000 in FY 2025/26 and an annual not-to-exceed amount of
$400,000 in FY 2026/27, FY 2027/28, and FY 2028/29, and an annual not-to-exceed amount
of $450,000 per year if the two additional one-year extensions are exercised, not to exceed
five years.

Funding for the agreement is budgeted and available in the Internal Services Fund (519),
Streetlight Pole Replacement (51940135–430107 & 440104), and Special Revenue Fund
(128) for Hacienda Business Park Association (12840103–420101 & 440104).
