Other Programs <br />Finally, there has been interest in helping to incentivize Downtown investment through a façade <br />improvement program (City support or funding for cosmetic updates) or through programs like the <br />Mills Act that offer property tax incentives for historic building renovations. Both programs would <br />involve a significant investment of time to develop and implement, and based on limited staff <br />resources, costs, and relatively limited benefit to a small number of property owners, staff does <br />not recommend moving forward with them at this time.
