FOR THE LIONS WAYSIDE AND DELUCCHI
PARK RENOVATIONS, CIP NO. 06716, AND APPROVE A BUDGET
AMENDMENT IN THE PARK DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE FUND

SUMMARY
The Lions Wayside and Delucchi Parks Renovations project, CIP No. 06716, included
construction of a new bandstand, plaza, concert viewing areas, trails, parking lot, lighting, lawn
renovations, furnishings, and landscaping and irrigation at the City’s two downtown parks on
First Street: Lions Wayside Park and Delucchi Park. Construction occurred from October 2024
through June 2025, with additional parking lot improvements completed in November 2025.
The project is now complete to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works at a total
construction cost of $1,911,631.

Staff recommends the City Council accept the project as complete, authorize the City Clerk to
file a Notice of Completion, and authorize the return of the remaining project balance of
$36,834 to the Park Development Impact Fee Fund (Fund 222).

RECOMMENDATION
1. The
project was advertised for bid in summer 2024.

On September 3, 2024, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the Park
Page 298 of 617
