City Council Minutes Page 7 of 7 May 19, 2026 <br />Mayor Balch opened public comment. The following individuals provided comment: <br />Sarah Jane Hollister, Robert Devany, Guy Houston, and the project applicant, Jeff <br />Schroeder. <br />Mayor Balch closed the public comment. <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Eicher/Gaidos to approve the item as recommended. Motion <br />passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Eicher, Gaidos, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Balch <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br />Councilmember Nibert requested a resolution that would address the disposition of the <br />FCI Dublin facility based on findings of the new environmental assessment, resolving <br />that the location would not become an ICE detention center. The item failed for lack of <br />majority support. <br />Councilmember Testa requested an ordinance addressing single-use plastic to-go <br />utensils and materials used at Pleasanton restaurants. The item failed for lack of <br />majority support.
