10. Other Grant Programs
Impaired Driving Grant Activities
Has your Organization/Agency previously received grant funding for impaired driving activities?
Yes
No
If yes, detail the outcome. PLEASE DO NOT COPY AND PASTE TABLES IN FIELD - TYPE INFORMATION IN FIELD.
Yes, the Pleasanton Police Department previously received grant funding for impaired driving enforcement through the
California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and the CHP Cannabis Tax Fund Grant. The OTS grant funds multiple DUI
saturation patrols conducted throughout the year, resulting in DUI arrests, enforcement contacts, and increased
visibility of patrol presence during high-risk periods. The CHP Cannabis Grant supported impaired driving
enforcement resources, including a dedicated DUI vehicle and a DUI checkpoint conducted in December 2025, which
resulted in six arrests and multiple citations for suspended and unlicensed drivers. Both grants were successfully
managed within the performance period, with all required reporting completed on time. The enforcement outcomes
demonstrated measurable public safety impact and strengthened the department's ability to proactively address
alcohol and drug-impaired driving within the community.
Has or will your Organization/Agency submit a proposal to another grant program for this Project (ex: funds for the same
components as this Project, or similar/related components that will be completed during the same time period as this
Project)?
Yes
No
If yes, detail the granting Organization/Agency. In addition, clearly distinguish which tasks would be funded by the CTFGP
and which tasks would be funded by another Organization/Agency. PLEASE DO NOT COPY AND PASTE TABLES IN
FIELD - TYPE INFORMATION IN FIELD.
Other Funding Sources
Are any personnel dedicated to this Project funded by other sources or grants, including salary support?
Yes
No
If yes, detail which source/grant.
