The water tank property is assessed at a higher rate due to the value it
provides in the event of a fire and the benefit it receives from protection.

Table 2. Bonde Ranch LMD
* Includes 1.7% collection charge

Ballot Tabulation and Results
Votes are weighted based on the proposed assessment amount for each parcel. Only returned
ballots are counted; ballots not returned are neither counted in support of nor in opposition.
Assessment ballots must be received by the City Clerk by the close of the public hearing;
postmarks do not constitute timely receipt.

Following the close of public testimony, the City Clerk will tabulate the returned ballots for each
district. If the weighted ballots submitted in opposition exceed the weighted ballots submitted in
support, a majority protest exists, and the proposed assessment may not be imposed. The
tabulation results for each district will be announced at the public hearing and recorded in the
resolutions.

Replacement of Existing Districts and Transfer of Funds
If a proposed district is approved and no majority protest exists, the corresponding existing
district will be dissolved and replaced by the new district. Any unexpended funds remaining in
the existing district fund at the time of dissolution will be transferred to the new district.
• If Ponderosa-Del Prado LMD 2026-1 is approved, LMD 1984-1 (Ponderosa-Del Prado)
will be dissolved, and the unexpended balance of Fund 134 will be transferred to the
new district.
• If Bonde Ranch LMD 2026-2 is approved, LMD 1993-2 (Bonde Ranch) will be dissolved,
and the unexpended balance of Fund 136 will be transferred to the new district.
If a proposed district is not approved or is subject to a majority protest, the corresponding
existing district will continue to operate under its current assessment structure.

Ballot Process and Timeline
• May 5, 2026: City Council preliminarily approved the Engineer’s Reports and ordered
ballot proceedings.
Zone No. Parcels SFE
Factor
Total
SFEs
Annual Assessment
Rate*
Total
Assessment
Bonde Ranch
LMD Zone A 64 1.00 64.00 $633.03 $40,514
Bonde Ranch
LMD Zone A
Water Tank
1 2.00 2.00 $633.03 $1,266
Bonde Ranch
LMD Zone B SFR 38 0.44 16.72 $278.53 $10,584
TOTAL 103 82.72 $52,364
