Location and Notification Map <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the application for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP), Case No. P26-0258, based on the <br />findings and subject to the draft conditions of approval in Exhibit A. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />The applicant requests CUP approval, pursuant to the requirements of the approved Planned <br />Unit Development (PUD) for Pacific Pearl Shopping Center, to increase the maximum number <br />of students at any one time (from 20 to 40) for an existing tutoring school. As proposed, staff <br />recommends that the Planning Commission find this use consistent with the objectives of the <br />zoning district and the PUD, and to be compatible with the surrounding uses. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The PUD where the Pacific Pearl Shopping Center is located (PUD-108) was approved under <br />Ordinance No. 2114 by the City Council on March 17, 2017.
