6. PICK-UP / DROP-OFF OPERATIONS
●Students are dropped off and picked up by parents or guardians
●Arrival and dismissal times are staggered by class
●Buffer intervals are built into the schedule
●Parents do not remain on site for extended periods. Parents and guardians remain on
site only for brief drop-off and pick-up activities and do not congregate or occupy parking
spaces beyond those timeframes.
This operational model minimizes traffic impacts and parking demand.
7. PARKING AND TRAFFIC CONSIDERATIONS
The project site is located within the Pacific Pearl shopping center, which contains a large
shared parking field serving multiple tenants. The overall shopping center provides a substantial
number of parking spaces adequate to support a mix of retail, service, and educational uses.
Parking demand is limited due to:
●Staggered scheduling
●Short drop-off and pick-up durations
●Small class sizes
●Limited overlap between sessions
Parking is not individually assigned to tenants. The iCode space utilizes shared parking within
the shopping center consistent with other retail and service tenants.
The proposed increase in occupancy does not result in a proportional increase in peak parking
demand due to staggered scheduling and short-duration drop-off and pick-up activity.
A detailed parking analysis and class schedule are provided as separate attachments in support
of this application.
iCode School - Pleasanton | Conditional Use Permit Narrative
4
