Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails
Committee
Agenda Report
August 3, 2026

Item 4

SUBJECT: STATUS UPDATE ON THE BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN MASTER PLAN
UPDATE PROJECT

SUMMARY
Hexagon will provide an update on the status of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update,
including key milestones completed to date. The presentation will summarize Phase 2
community outreach, the needs assessment analysis, project recommendations, prioritization
findings, and proposed support programs.

The next step in the Master Plan update process is the development of the draft Plan.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee review the proposed
prioritization methodology and support programs and provide feedback to staff and the
consultant. Staff is specifically seeking input on the following:
• Which elements of the prioritization approach are strongest, and which should be
adjusted?
• Are the proposed criterion weights appropriate?
• Does the proposed scoring methodology result in a reasonable project prioritization list?

ACTION
No action required – informational item only.

Submitted by:
Matthew Nelson
Associate Traffic Engineer

Attachment:
1. Draft Prioritization and Implementation of Proposed Recommendations Memo
2. Support Programs Memo
