/. AON
THE CITY OF
.rn
PLEASANTON.
Transmittal
Date: October 3, 2008
To: Nelson Fialho, City Manager
From: James Kelcourse, City Engineer
Subject: Cost Sharing of Storm Drain/erosion Repairs to the Lund Ranch Tank Access Road
In December of last year we sent a memorandum to you requesting your approval of a cost
sharing agreement with Greenbriar Homes for storm drain/erosion repairs to the Lund Ranch
Tank Access Road. Unfortunately, that work did not get started last year as we had
anticipated. Greenbriar Homes has since rebid this repair work in anticipation doing this work
before this year's winter rains. Previously, you had authorized the appropriation of$45,000 for
this work; however, Greenbriar has rebid the project and the new low bid was about $94,000
including construction support from their geotechnical engineers. Therefore, we are
recommending (per the attach memorandum) that you increase the City's pro-rata share for
this work to $56,400, which includes a 20 percent contingency.
c: Brian Dolan, Director of Community Development
Wes Jost, Development Services Manager
Sheryl Duran, Management Analyst
Sally Madrid, Financial Services Manager
(Inf nAwrd.doc)
COK
