park there. However, this red curb may be tempting to parents who cannot
fmd a place to stop to pick up their kids.

4.' Parking-As we all know, the street parking is limited to one car per house.
With multiple cars arriving for the daycare, the surrounding neighbor's
parking spaces will be encroached upon. 5276 Genovesio will have exceeded
its parking space. There is no designated loading and unloading zone for the
daycare. An employee's car could further worsen the situation.

5. Traffic-Currently, the daycare is already in operation at 5276 Genovesio Dr.
There is obvious traffic coming and going from this house. Cars have been
parked near the house for as long as 25 minutes. With 14 kids, and 14
parents, and 14 cars, the situation can quickly become unsafe. Cars will
potentially line up waiting for a space, cars making 3-point turns to leave, and
other cars waiting for enough space to just pass-by. This opens up the
potential for impatient parents who will double-park, park the wrong
direction, or block someone's driveway.

6. Existing Speeding Problem-Valencia has had a speeding problem for many
years. While the posted speed limit is 15mph, it is anticipated that late parents
will not adhere to these posted limits. Parents will most likely speed to work
and speed to pick up their children to avoid costly late fees. Further, the
speeding is a huge danger to children who play in the streets.

7. Proximity & Size of homes-The homes in this neighborhood are only about
9.6+/-feet apart. These homes are quite small. Review of the sketch by the
applicant shows that approximately 800 sq ft. (inside) will be used for up to
14 children, and 2 caregivel's. It is unlikely that 14 children will be kept inside
such a small space, so the backyard will be used extensively while in their
care. The amount of space for this size daycare is not enough.

8. Noise-In the past, the neighborhood has surprisingly enjoyed a peaceful and
intimate community with about 9.6+/- feet of space in between each house.
However, there is too little space to buffer noise from the daycare. Since the
inside of the house is small, the daycare will extend its space into the
backyard. There are several backyard neighbors who directly share backyard
fencing. Since the backyards are relatively small, about 47x20 feet in length
and width, all the neighbors will hear the noise of the children.

9. Crowding- The pool area, basketball area and playground are already
crowded, particularly during the summer season when children are out of
school. While there is a limit of four guests per resident for the pool area,
there is no limit to the basketball or playground. The addition of the daycare
children's "outdoor playtime" would cause even more crowding of these
amenities. This makes it difficult and uncomfortable for the residents to enjoy
the amenities.
