ATTACHMENT 23

Marion Pavan

From:
Sent:
To:
Subject:

Carlson, Eric [ECarlson@lpfire.org]
Thursday, June 22, 2006 10:59 AM
Marion Pavan
Cameron Av. PUD-50

Marion:

Per our telecomm this AM the Fire Department is opposed to closing Cameron Av. at the proposed
project boundary with any type of barrier. It is a public street and serves the neighborhood. The area
currently meets the 5 minute travel time criteria from the nearest fire station. However a preliminary
response model of this area with a barrier will likely increase the travel time to more than 5 minutes.
That would exceed the General Plan criteria with no mitigating alternatives to the extended response
time. Let me know if any questions.

Regards,

Eric Carlson, Fire Marshal
Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Dept.
925-454-2330 //fax 925.454.2367

1
