5

Eleanor B. and Joseph E. Keller

P1easanton, CA 94566

May 23, 2006

Natalie Amos
City of Pleasanton Planning and Zoning Department
PO Box 520
Pleasanton, CA 94566

Dear Ms. Amos:

We are writing in support of the application of Stan and Stacey Knight of 779 Mirador Ct
to remodel their home including the addition of a second story.

We have discussed their objectives with them and reviewed the drawings. We think it
will be an excellent addition to our neighborhood now and in the future. The fa98de is
attractive on all four sides. The landscaping retains mature trees. The floor plan with
enlarged living area down stairs and three bedrooms upstairs appears to be attractive not
only for the Knights but also for future owners, as the enlarged space makes it more
inviting.

We are owners of one of the three other two story houses on Mirador Ct. We do not
believe adding a fourth is detrimental. It is refreshing to see a variety of architectural
designs in a neighborhood, which this project provides. We think the remodeling would
be attractive to future prospective buyers of their house and others in the Court. This
Court has seen many families. It is refreshing to see younger children continue to here. In
fact, seeing young children and finding a two-story house was a large attraction for us
when we sold our one-story house at 581 Bonita in 1975 to buy our current residence,
after looking in Livermore and along the 680 corridor from Sunol to Walnut Creek.

After Joe's phone call with you Monday, we realize that the Knights are not seeking any
variances, and that they have accommodated objections from others.

We hope this project proceeds.

~l~ ~, /MItol ~ ~J;/L

Eleanor B. and Joseph E.
