I wiil use this file more for the sqft info anyways.

Stan

From: Natalie Amos [mailto:namos@ci.pleasanton.ca.us]
Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2006 2:38 PM
To: Stan Knight
Subject: RE: 2,500-3,100 sqft homes

Stan,

The N / A means that the informa tion regarding how many stories a house has was not provided (left
blank).
I got the information from a county assessor program. The 1 story could have been human error or
have to do with the way the information was entered into the program, or even just an oversight.
There are houses that were built a few years ago that still aren't showing up on this program. After
projects receive planning approval and are submitted to building, one of the sets of plans gets routed to
the county assessor's office so that they can have an accurate record of the square footage, number of
stories, etc.. If they don't, or didn't have to, go through the planning process, there's no way of
knowing the existing square footage and story height without getting the property surveyed. One
thing about this program is that the square-footage is almost always accurate (usually + / - a few
square-feet) from what the owner thinks that it is.
I hope this answered your questions, but if not please let me know.

Sincerely,

Natalie E.
