Dear Sir,

I am a home owner of 4443 Bowen Street, Pleasanton, CA 94588. I would like to bring to
your attention the following concerns we have regarding the construction at 4001
Stoneridge Drive (Saint Elizabeth Seton Church).

Subject: PDR - 561/PV -158, John Miller Architects / Saint Elizabeth Seton Church

Some of our concerns regarding the proposal are listed below:

1. Size of the project and its proximity to existing homes. We are very concerned
about the impact on the quality of life of surrounding residents.

2. Traffic study - there is insufficient information about the effect on traffic
especially during peak hours. With recent incidents like the Vintage Hills accident
this takes on more importance, particularly since the project is in the middle of a
residential area.

3. Impact of cutting short parking spaces - historically overflow parking goes onto
Bowen and Alexander Streets.

4. Noise thresholds - air conditioning and heating unit locations. SOUND / NOISE
THRESHOLD (in terms of decibels). Impact of backup generators, maintenance
equipment noise on nearby residents.

5. Critters - The land is currently uninhabited and may be a habitat for small animals
and critters. Construction would disturb them and force them to migrate to nearby
areas. What is being done by the sponsors of the project about this?

6. Safety and security -skateboarders occasionally use the parking area - have we
considered ifthis may attract more of such activities? Teenager program is our
concern in the night as mentioned in the use of the facility.

7. View Analysis, Landscape Analysis - Landscaping Plan and 3600 Perimeter
View. There are not enough details in the documents regarding the Landscape
Plan.

8. Smell / Odor Control- based on the location dumpster enclosure, nearby
residents will be affected by odors from garbage. Use of Backend of the building
for storage, maintenance equipments, and garbage impacts the residents directly.

9. Hours of Operation - This is a neighborhood with families and young children.
There will be a huge (negative) impact on the quality oflife for surrounding
neighbors.

IRlIECIE~VIEIDl

NUV (, i' 2006

CITY OF PLEASANTON
PLANNING DEPT.
