City of Pleasant on Planning Department Pleasanton, CA 94566 Attn: Steve Otto, Associate Planner Dear Steve: The Board of Directors of the Santa Rita Office Center, 4431 to 4495 Stoneridge Drive, and immediately adjacent to the Saint Elizabeth Seton Church property, met today, November 7'\ to discuss PDR-561/PV-158, and to submit to the City of Pleasant on that we are against the proposed parish center project at the church property. We wish that you please include this letter from us with the staff report related to the project, which will be presented at the Public Hearing on November 8th. Our issues are the inappropriate plan for parking for the new facility - we consider the City's consideration to include parking at nearby businesses and street parking to be unacceptable and indeed another variance. We believe that the size and intended usage of the building is too large and grand to not have included adding more parking in the project. We also have an objection to the proposed variance for the building to be 34 feet tall- in the City's report it states that the height of the ceiling needed for a basketball gymnasium is 25 feet. We object to the construction of the parish center building because we believe that there will be issues with noise and alcohol, due to the planned use ofthe building for events. We object to the construction of the building because we believe it will very much change the character and atmosphere ofthe entire area due to the above concerns. We will have representatives from our Board at the Public Hearing on Wednesday evening, November 8th.
