The emotions and resulting email trails
among a large number of neighbors is almost incomprehensive.
That said, I would like to make the following points:
Golden Road is already too heavy with traffic -the road was never intended to be a through-
passage road. I believe the same is true for adjacent roads like Harvest and Greenwood.
The church is proposing to expand the parking off of Golden Road, which will increase traffic
even more.
At the same time, there are over 30 minor children on the affected stretch on Golden Road
alone - a narrow road with poor visibility and children on both sides of the street. The
safety of our children MUST be the #1 priority.
Moreover, there are inexpensive alternatives -like entry and exit onto Hopyard or Del Valle.
These roads were built as through-passage roads.
Finally, the church has proclaimed that they have no growth plans in terms of church
members. Does the council believe that, really?
Thanks for passing my opinions to the planning committee and council members.
Anders Gjerde
4883 Golden Road
Check out the new AOL,.
