My family and I live on Golden Road. This is a major concern forme. As it is,
during the summer we seem to pick up a lot of extra traffic when the PVC has their swim meets.
Parking is usually a problem, not to mention that small children play outside and motorists don't always
pay attention to the speed limit. I have been concerned many times with the amount of traffic coming to
and from Hopyard. A few years ago the neighbors complained about speeding cars on Golden Road.
That problem was addressed with a traffic sign that still doesn't stop the speeding.
Now with this issue I'm afraid that not only will there be more traffic coming through but that we will
lose whatever space we have to park our own cars.
There must be another solution. The parking lot on Del Val Parkway seems to be the best answer. I feel
that the Golden Road entrance should be closed to traffic and either redirected to Del Val or maybe a
new driveway on Hopyard should be constructed.
I would hope that the planning commission along with the city council can rectify this problem and help
prevent any serious problem that may occur in the future. I would like to believe that a better plan exists
that will benefit the church as well as the neighborhood.
Thank you
Karen Gurtler
It's here!
