October 13, 2006
Memo to Mr. Pete Knoedler
2. Longs Store Drive-Through Prescription O eration
My analysis of the Longs drive-through prescription service has been based on projections
of customer usage for this service. That data suggests that the drive-through service attracts
60-80 daily customers with an even distribution of about 5-7 customers hourly. An hourly
volume of this magnitude would generate a maximum queue of 1-2 vehicles (assuming 7
vehicles per hour with an average transaction time of 3 minutes). A 1-2 vehicle queue
would not affect internal center circulation and would not conflict with traffic at the center's
Stanley Boulevard driveway.
I trust that this memo addresses your preliminary questions. Please let me know if further
input is needed.
