Pa~~e 1 of 1
Maria Hoey
Subject: FW: The New Home Depot Shopping Center Project
From: Steven William
Sent: Monday, January 2 .
To: Marion Pavan
Cc: Mayor and City Council
Subject: The New Home Depot Shopping Center Project
Dear Ms. Pavan,
I would like you to vote to approve the proposed Home Depot project on the corner of Bernal and Stanley. I
live in the Kottinger Ranch area of Pleasanton, and can't tell you the number of times I have had to drive over to
Orchard Supply in Livermore in order to get a home project done. I find that it is the lesser of two evils to trek six
miles down Stanley, rather than fight all of the lights through all of Pleasanton to get to the Home Depot on
Johnson Drive. This 2~d location for another Home Depot will certainly be more convenient for those of us on this
side of the city, as well as being probably a more "central" location for most of residential Pleasanton.
I was very pleased with the new gas station and lunch choices that went in across the street from the proposed
Home Depot site. My family and I use all of these new businesses quite regularly.
The New Home Depot will be good for Pleasanton residents, and undoubtedly a great tax revenue producer
for the city. Thank you for reading and considering my opinion.
Steven M. Williams, D.M.D.
P.S. Since I am writing to you, I might as well tell you that I, and most everyone I know would love to have a
high-end grocery store such as Trader Joe's or Whole Foods or the like, instead of those wasted boarded up
buildings on the corner of Vineyard and Bernal.
;/ 10/2007
