In the past <br />17 years which we have lived in Pleasanton we have lived in our home off of Foothill Road and currently live off of <br />Santa Rita Road. One of the most wonderful feelings I remember about living here long ago is the small town <br />feeling Pleasanton gave. On moving day as we moved into Pleasanton we had to stop our car because a pig got <br />out and was crossing the road. It is such a fond memory. However, 17 years later there are no pigs crossing the <br />road, as a matter of fact, I wont let my children cross the road! It upsets me deeply to think that this fine city could <br />be home to a second Home Depot bringing in even more traffic along Santa Rita Road, huge semi trucks and all. <br />As it is, when I first moved into my home I could sleep with the windows open on a warm night and now because <br />of the massive amounts of traffic along Santa Rita Road, I can no longer do so. The traffic on this side of town is <br />horrific, my mom who is visiting from Germany is afraid to cross Santa Road, and rightfully so. I would like to <br />make my self perfectly clear to the city council, we are EXTREMELY AGAINST placing another Home Depot on <br />this side of town OR anywhere else in here in The Pleasanton. We have one Home Depot, and that's enough! <br />When you place your vote regarding this issue, do so carefully.
