Palo 1 i)f 1
Maria Hoey
Subject: FW: Regency Centers/Home Depot -- Oppose
From: dkr~~~,:='
Sent: Monday, May 07, 2007 1.22 PM
To: Marion Pavan
Subject: Regency Centers/Home Depot
Hello,
I have been a resident in Pleasanton for about twelve years. I am against new retail site at Stanley Blv. I already
witness accidents on a monthly basis on South bound Santa Rita and east bound Valley because those streets
cannot not handle the amount of traffic going down to southbound Stanley. I hate to see a huge retail center that
is going to cause people to stop in an already congested area. I also don't think it is fair to the Vineyard neighbors
to bear more traffic dumping out on to Bernal Avenue. Home Depot does not fit into a neighborhood setting. They
open early and close late. I don't want to hear there trucks doing deliveries all week. It doesn't make for a
peaceful setting. We already have to put up with the new waterslides, which most Pleasanton did not want.
Please don't completely ruin the Vineyard corridor's peaceful tranquility. I don't mind retail sites in that area but I
am opposed to such a big retailer like Home Depot.
If this application gets approved I hope that the children using the BMX bike park are considered. They are
constantly crossing Bernal to get to Stanley and there isn't even a yield sign in place to let them safely cross
Bernal.
Thanks for your time,
Kristina Reeve
5! 10/?007
