20.24.160 <br />issued the permit. <br />(Ord 1869 § 6, 2002; Ord. 1806 § 2, <br />2000; Ord. 1778 § 6, 1999) <br />20.24.170 UFC Section 1006.4.1 <br />Added -Fire Alarm <br />System Monitoring: <br />UFC Section 1006.4.1 is added to the <br />Uniform Fire Code to read: <br />Section 1006.4.1 <br />1. Alarm System Requirements. All <br />fire alarm or automatic fire extin- <br />guishing systems installed in accor- <br />dance with this Article shall meet the <br />following requirements: <br />(a) All fire sprinkler system de- <br />vices and fire alarm systems in- <br />stalled in accordance with this <br />article shall be Underwriters Lab- <br />oratory (UL) Central Station Ser- <br />vice Certificated in accordance <br />with NFPA 72-1999 Edition. <br />(b) All fire alarm systems required <br />by the Fire Prevention Bureau to <br />have more than one zone shall be <br />locally annunciated by zone and <br />shall be transmitted to the public <br />fire service communications cen- <br />ter by zone. <br />(c) Final (as built) plans including <br />a copy of "Alarm Information" <br />shall be maintained and on file at <br />the control panel or other on-site <br />location (Key-lock Box) approved <br />by the Fire Department. When <br />digital signaling is provided, a <br />copy of the programming sheet <br />shall be provided to the Livermore <br />Pleasanton Fire Department as <br />part of the plan approval process. <br />(Ord. 1869 § 6, 2002; Ord. 1806 § 2, <br />2000; Ord. 1778 § 6, 1999) <br />20.24.180 UFC Section 1006.4.2. <br />Added -Fire Alarm <br />Systems -Existing <br />Buildings: <br />UFC Section 1006.4.2 is added to the <br />Uniform Fire Code by adding the fol- <br />lowing: <br />Section 1006.4.2 <br />Existing Fire Alarm Systems. <br />Existing fire alarm systems shall <br />be Underwriters Laboratories (UL) <br />Certificated Central Station Ser- <br />vice. Where applicable, deviations <br />shall be permitted to be granted <br />by the Fire Prevention Bureau.
