those with corporate offices or boards out-of-state. While many
agencies use videos, it is not appropriate for Pleasanton at this
time because our market is so local. The cost ranges from
$11,000 (in cooperation with the Alameda County office of
Economic Development) to over $20,000.

Advertising

Although advertising was considered, it is not likely to be
effective given the small, well-defined target audience. It is
also expensive. Cooperative advertising with local developers is
a future possibility. The cost of six black and white quarter
page advertisements range from $2,604 in Diablo Magazine and
$4,140 in SF Business Magazine, to $7,710 in SF Business Times.
To reach a broader, statewide audience, six one-third page black
and white advertisements in California Business would cost
$19,308 or in PSA Sky Magazine, $41,850.

Events

The Pleasanton 2000 material, and event, should be fully
integrated into the Advantage Pleasanton program. The major
information piece could be used at the event.
