7. MATI'ERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> There were none. <br /> <br /> 8. CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> <br /> 9. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Michael Roush announced the actions taken in the closed session prior to the Cotuwil <br /> meeting. The City of Pleasanton has concerns about the ~!R certified by the Berrenda Mesa <br /> Water District to transfer water to the groundwater basin. Discussions are underway to extend <br /> the time period within which a lawsuit could be fled. If an agreement is not reached or the <br /> discussions regarding extending the statute of limitations are not successful, then the City <br /> Attorney is authorized to file a lawsuit to pwtect the rights of the City. <br /> The vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Counc~members - Dennis, Pico and Mayor Tarvet <br /> NOES: Councilmember Michelotti <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br />-- ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> 10.
