Mayor Tarver agreed it would not be good to have statistical errors, but he did not want the subcommittee going through the report before the public or anybody else has an opportunity to review it. Ms. Michelotti felt the Liaison Committee should review the information first. Ms. Dennis felt the committee should be aware that the public wants to be involved. Mayor Tarver asked if the Council supported the position that the subcommittee should go through the process at least once. Ms. Michelotti said the initial meeting would be a public meeting that anyone can attend and then open it up to a workshop. Mayor Tarver said he would attend the first meeting and felt other Boardmembers would attend and therefore a joint workshop should be held. Ms. Dennis understood staff would clarify the information and then a joint workshop would be held for anyone interested to discuss. Ms. Michelotti said a Liaison Committee is being held on Thursday, March 18 at 7:30 -- a.m. at the School District offices. Mayor Tarver asked again how many Councilmembers supported an approach whereby staff would work with the School Board staff and prepare a presentation for a joint workshop between City Council, the School District and the community. There was support for this process. Ms. Michelotti made a motion to reconsider the realignment at Ray and Main Street. The motion died for a lack of second. Mayor Tarver said the Mayor of Concord is having a Y2K summit. He suggested the Tri- Valley area hold a joint Y2K summit. Ms. Acosta said the City is planning on holding a meeting to provide information to the agencies of the community and then would present the information to the Council.
