229 <br /> <br /> On Item 12b, Slide Repairs, Mr. Mercer asked Mr. Elliott if <br />the slides could have been the fault of the people who constructed <br />the road. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver commented that there were a lot of cracks. He <br />asked if these were being caused by the drainage and if these <br />would reoccur. <br /> <br /> Mr. Elliott replied that it would be unlikely that these <br />slides and cracks were caused by the construction people or the <br />drainage. <br /> <br />11. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />10. COMMUNICATIONS <br />Item 14a <br />Request from Buenas Vidas Ranch <br /> <br /> Ms. Sally Bystroff, Administrator of Buenas Vidas Ranch, <br />presented her letter to the Councilmembers. She explained that <br />their program lost its cushion with their Thrift Store shortfalls <br />and requested $6,000 from the City for start-up operational <br />expenses to set up their business and be self-supporting. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, that <br />Resolution No.89-363 be adopted, approving the request for $6,000 <br />for the Buenas Vidas Ranch. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />15.
