Mr. Brozosky encouraged people to seek out answers to the school facilities
situation and neighborhood schools. These students and school traffic situations impact
all of the neighborhoods in the City.

Mayor Pico said he is supportive of finding ways to get this street situation
corrected and to get the sidewalk in as soon as possible. He felt it was not necessary to
wait for a serious situation to happen before taking action. He would consider any
alternative presented to Council to assure that the street and sidewalk improvements be
made on a timely basis. He urged staffto aggressively pursue the options available. He
hoped the City would be able to have some sort of feedback on the issue in a timely basis.

It was moved by Mr. Campbell, seconded by Ms. Ayala, to reintroduce
Ordinance 1891, the application of Ray and Michele Peterson (PUD-27), with the
conditions set forth in Attachment B.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councllmembers Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman and
Mayor Pico
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Item 6c
PUD-93-2-5MIPCUP-89, Michael Callahan (SR 03:247)

Brian Swift presented the staff report.

Mr. Brozosky voiced his concern with the noise level generated at the proposed
facility and discussed the possibility of having noise traveling into the surrounding areas.

Mr. Swift explained that the back doors and windows that face east and south
would be closed if amplified music were being used. Non-amplified music is permitted
in the patio area on the east, but restricted by the hours, ending at 9:00 p.m.

Mr. Campbell asked about the number of seats in the dining room area.

Mr. Swift said it would be approximately 150.

Ms. Hosterman clarified that this event center was not for the public to purchase
tickets, but only a rental facility.

Mr. Swift said it is not designed to be an outdoor theater event center. It would
allow weddings, retirement parties, school groups, and other catered events to take place.

Mr. Brozosky discussed the infrastructure situation at this facility.

Pleasanton City Council 17 09.02.03
Minutes
