Commissioner Blank’s Comments:

In addition to the areas of study that Mr. Jeung had mentioned earlier:

?

Noise and airport, the air traffic patterns currently in existence. About 50 percent
of the complaints come from Pleasanton. Look at additional noises, depending on
the hours of operation for the automall, such as the jerking noise resulting from
starting cars parked on the roof as opposed to background droning noise.

?

Various uses of the EVA: strictly for emergency vehicles; for emergency vehicles
and buses; or emergency vehicles, buses and bikes.

?

Keeping or removing the berm, including the plants and animals.

?

Visuals on the automall sign: accuracy of the visuals, 28 mm. vs. 35 mm.; big
photographs that have appropriate proportions and show visible impacts.

?

Construction traffic: safety, noise, vibration, dust, contaminates, hazardous
materials that may be created.

?

Light pollution: Assumption that because of their high dollar value, the BMW
and Mercedes Benz cars would be well lit; light pollution to the neighborhoods
and surrounding environment; check with the Federal Aviation Administration
regarding light pollution at night that may disrupt air traffic.

?

Loss of agricultural land.

Commissioner Blank inquired if a separate EIR would be required should Stoneridge
Drive be eventually extended to El Charro Road or would that be addressed in the current
EIR. Ms. Giffin replied that it is anticipated that both scenarios would be addressed in
the current EIR.

?

Traffic patterns around Mohr Elementary School and throughout the entire City
should Stoneridge Drive be put through to El Charro Road.

Commissioner Pearce’s Comments:

In addition to those already mentioned:

?

Potential pollution impact on seniors being close to the freeway, considering that
seniors are especially sensitive to issues of pollutants.

?

Vibration issues from the airport in terms of those residential units right at the
APA border.

PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES April 11, 2007 Page 12 of 18
