~. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT B <br /> <br />TRAFFIC MITIGATION IMPROVEMENTS <br />Improvement <br />A. Foothill Road~Canyon WayfDublin Canyon Road <br />1. Widen Canyon Way between Stoneridge Mall <br />Road and Foothill Road to provide one <br />additional westbound lane. This will <br />provide a total of three westbound <br />lanes. Widen on both the north and <br />south sides of Canyon Way and recon- <br />struct the existing median narrowing it <br />by four feet to a width of twelve feet. <br />The south curb will be moved six feet. <br />The purpose is to improve existing <br />traffic flow and mitigate the impact of <br />new development by extending a very <br />short existing right-turn lane for west- <br />bound traffic destined for the Foothill <br />Road interchange. The estimated right- <br />of-way and construction cost is <br />$400,000. <br />2. Add a fourth northbound lane on Foothill <br />Road between Deodar Way and the north- <br />bound to eastbound ramp at the Foothill <br />Road interchange with I-58.0. This will <br />provide two northbound lanes on Foothill <br />Road to the ramp toward eastbound I-580. <br />The two lanes would transition to one <br />lane prior to the collector-distributor <br />road. The other two lanes would serve <br />the existing two lanes toward the over- <br />crossing at I-580. Foothill Road <br />between Deodar Way and Canyon Way can be <br />restriped between the existing curbs. <br />Foothill Road between Canyon Way and the <br />northbound to eastbound ramp will <br />require widening Foothill Road and <br />moving the existing sidewalk back within <br />the existing right-of-way. An addi- <br />tional lane will be constructed next to <br />the existing one-lane northbound to <br />eastbound ramp which will require <br />Caltrans approval.
