4-Concerned
From: Bryan Scott
Sent: Tuesday, September 27, 2005 9:00:56 AM
To: Leslie Mendez
Cc: Jim Wolfe; Rosalind Rondash
Subject: PAUP-2, Alonzo R. Hudson
Auto forwarded by a Rule
Dear Leslie-
This email is about the use permit for the hens on Malaga court. I live at 3248 Arbor
Drive, across Vintage Hills Pazk from the back yazd where the hens would be located. I
would like to raise two concerns.
First, aze the hens there now? In the past I have heard the hens, but I do not heaz them
now. The noise is definitely noticeable, and continuous. It's not quite to the level of
annoying, but I can see how someone living closer to the animals could be annoyed. If
the hens aze not there now, are neighbors being asked to contribute input to a process
without the impact being heazd?
Second, has the Pazks Department been noticed on this issue? If they have, what's their
opinion? If not, why not? It seems to me that one aspect of a pazk is the quiet enjoyment
of nature. At times kids and others using the pazk will cause noise, which is itself often
pleasurable. But most of the time it's peaceful and quiet. This peaceful quiet time will be
lost if there is continuous clucking from the hens. And if I were running a pazk I'd try not
to loose this quality aspect without a fight. Additional noise from the hens would
definitely detract from the value of Vintage Hills Park.
Thanks for our res onse to these issues. If you like to contact me by phone, my work
number is
--Bryan
5-Concern
From: Bemie Thurman[SMTP:
Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 7:12:07 PM
To: Leslie Mendez
Subject: Hudson request RE chickens
Auto forwarded by a Rule
Leslie--
Mark and I aze unable to attend the meeting, but wished to express our thoughts RE our
neighbor's request to house chickens on their property.
