(. _ /:_
Steve Otto
From: Heidi Massie
Sent: Monday, July 07, 2008 11:53 PM
To: Mary Lu Campbell; Steve Otto
Subject: Noon PUD-74
Enough is enough!
I object to PUD-74, the proposed 110 "senior housing" single homes for the Busch area. We first need a
plan defined to support traffic and buildout on the East side of town before we add more homes to this area
(Stanley/Valley/Santa Rita) which already bas the highest level of traffic in the entire city.
This proposal goes against everything the community has asked for over the past year such as:
1. It makes traffic (and all that comes with it: noise, pollution, pedestrian safety) on a key city
artery even worse (Valley Ave).
2. It occupies a key section of land in an area of town that needs a strategic plan first before any
further development approved.
3. It may be neither very senior (age 55 eligibility) nor affordable. In addition, the original
developer positioned this land for school district purposes when they got the original Ironwood
approval years ago and not for 110 more homes.
Over the past year many people have spent hours of their free time communicating to the Pleasanton City
Council and Planning Commission that they would like the Council to halt all future commercial and
residential planning to the south-east part of Pleasanton until a solution is found to the current traffic
crisis. Thousands have sent emails and spoke at meetings to voice their concerns. It was for this reason - in
part -that the city council members voted not to approve the Horoe Depot development at Stanley and
Valley.
Please halt further approval of PUD-74 until a specific east side plan is created and traffic problems are
addressed.
Heidi Massie
4183 Hall Ct.
Heidi Mossie
Communicotions Consu/taut
