B Consider <br />whether the full extension of Stoneride should be part of the Specific Plan Amendment. <br />I am here to say that you are wearing us citizens of the North /east side out. When the Mayor ran for office 2 years <br />ago, I went to Nielsen park for the community meeting. I heard you say that as long as you were Mayor you would <br />not let Stoneride go through. Now this term I was speaking to neighbors who heard you say that you needed to <br />keep it in the general plan, but with rules. First that 580 and 84 must be fixed before allowing a thoroughfare on <br />Stoneride. We agree with that. Since the 580 between Pleasanton and Tracy is the #2 worst traffic problem in <br />the Bay Area, why would you open a parallel <br />thoroughfare right next to the problem and invite, traffic, noise, pollution and danger within the city limits. Please, I <br />urge you to abide by your original goals. Put Stonerid a through only when 580 is widened, fixed, or solved. <br />We the neighbors in the Mohr park area will call for a referendum if you allow Stonerid a drive to go through <br />without considering our wishes. <br />2/19/2009 <br />
