Be assured a copy of your message is being provided to the Mayor and
Members of the city council so they may have the benefit of your opinion.
Mary Lu Campbell
Executive Assistant
City of Pleasanton
P.O. Box 520
Pleasanton, CA 94566- -0802
- - - -- original Message - - - --
From : Bruce Adams [
,
Sent: Wednesday, February 18, 2009 l I : 2
To : Mayor and city Council
Subject: Fully Extend Stoneridge Drive
Honorable Mayor and council Members,
Icy family and I have been residents of Pleasanton, in the same home near Sutter
Gate and Santa Rita, for almost 25 years. I am not active in local politics, but
I do follow certain issues With interest. My interest is now focused on the issue
of extending Stoneridge to the east. For the record, I AM IN FAVOR of THE FULL
EXTENSION of STONERIDGE NOW!
As you no doubt know already, the traffic at certain times of the day or Santa
Rita is horrendous. often times in the evening, the Santa Rita traffic
approaching valley Ave will back up past my intersection at Sutter Gate. Its
frustrating to look down Santa Rita to the north and see ear after car turning
right onto Santa R, i t ai.. . . know i rg they are then going to turn left or Valley and
head east. obviously, this rerouting is a function of Stoneridge being a dead-
end.
I think its time that the representatives of Pleasanton consider the community as
a Whole, and not simply consider the concerns of the folks along Stoneridge
Drive. Simply stated, every street should carry its own designed burden. Santa
Rita and valley certainly are carrying their own Weight (probably much more than
intended) , but there is no question that Stoneridge i s not carrying its designed
traffic count . Therefore, FULLY EXTEND STONERIDGE NOW
Don't let Pleasanton continue to be the city known as 'you can't get there from
1
