AGREEMENT FOR FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND <br /> THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> <br />THIS AOREEMENTismadeandenteredintothis ~ day of 0&~,~1996, <br /> <br />by and between the COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, herein after referred to as the "COUNTY," <br /> <br />and the CITY OF PLEASANTON, hereinafter referred to as the "CITY." <br /> <br /> WITNESS ETH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY has built a fire station in conjunction with the Ruby Hills <br />Development, which is adjacent to an unincorporated area, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the COUNTY is responsible for providing service to the unincorporated <br />area, the COUNTY is willing to pay the CITY for response to unincorporated areas. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed between the parties as follows: <br /> <br />1. THE CITY agrees to perform the following: <br /> <br /> a. To provide one Engine Company to all reported fire, medical, or vehicle accidents <br /> that occur in the unincorporated areas adjacent to the Ruby Hills Development. <br /> b. To develop a coordinated response plan with the COUNTY Fire Department in <br /> order to provide better service to areas within the CITY of Pleasanton and the <br /> unincorporated areas in order to obtain the goal of a borderless response system where <br /> the closest units respond. <br /> <br />2. THE COUNTY agrees to perform the following: <br /> <br /> a. To pay the CITY the base salary for three firefighters. <br /> <br /> <br />
